How to convert force
Force is measured in newtons in the SI system. Pounds-force and kilograms-force are common in engineering, machinery and everyday weights, and one kilogram-force is the force of standard gravity on one kilogram.
Every force unit is a fixed multiple of one base unit, the N. To convert a value, multiply it by the size of the starting unit and divide by the size of the target unit. For example, to convert kgf to N, multiply by 9.80665. To go the other way, divide by 9.80665.
The converter above does this for you and shows the exact formula under the result.
