Tell the other person to open this page, choose I want to receive and type this code:
Or scan this QR code with the other device's camera.
Keep this page open. When the other person connects and accepts, sending starts. The code works once, for 15 minutes.
How to use it
- The sender adds files and clicks Get code. A 6-character code appears.
- The receiver opens this page on their device, chooses I want to receive, types the code and clicks Connect.
- The files start moving by themselves. Keep both pages open until it finishes.
How it works
This page uses WebRTC, the same technology as video calls, to open a direct encrypted connection between the two browsers. Only the short connection details pass through our server for a moment, never the files. Because no server is involved, there is no upload, no waiting and no file size limit from this site.
Limits
- Both people need this page open at the same time until the transfer ends.
- The receiving device keeps the files in memory, so multi-gigabyte transfers can fail on phones. Computers handle large files much better.
- Some company or school networks block direct connections. Try another network or a mobile hotspot.
- Each code works once and expires after 15 minutes. For another transfer, reload the page.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded to your server?
No. They travel directly between the two devices, encrypted. Only the short connection codes are shared by you.
Is there a file size limit?
This site sets none. The practical limit is the memory of the receiving device.
Why can't we connect?
Some networks block direct connections. Try a different Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot, and make sure both pages stay open.
Do I need an account?
No accounts, no installs.
Do the codes expire?
Yes. A code works once and expires after 15 minutes. Reload the page to get a new one.
