How to convert time
Time units mix decimal and everyday divisions: 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day. Months and years vary in length, so this tool uses average values, shown in the table below.
Every time unit is a fixed multiple of one base unit, the s. To convert a value, multiply it by the size of the starting unit and divide by the size of the target unit. For example, to convert h to min, multiply by 60. To go the other way, divide by 60.
