How to convert heat capacity
Heat capacity is the energy needed to raise the temperature of a whole object by one degree. Specific heat capacity is the same quantity per kilogram.
Every heat capacity unit is a fixed multiple of one base unit, the J/K. To convert a value, multiply it by the size of the starting unit and divide by the size of the target unit. For example, to convert kJ/K to BTU/°F, multiply by 0.5265650668. To go the other way, divide by 0.5265650668.
The converter above does this for you and shows the exact formula under the result.
